Teachers Bios

Rosemarie Clinton has taught art to children at the Greenwood Elementary School and the Menino Arts Center. Rosemarie has received several prizes for her impressionist paintings, including a Gold Medal Grumbacher award.

Tsun Ming Chmielinski teaches workshops and private students in pastels, oils, and sumi-e ink as well as displays her work in art shows throughout the year.

Nancy Donovan has an MEd from Lesley College "Integrating the Arts into the Curriculum". She has taught glass fusing to students from ages 8 to adults for ten years, as an art teacher at Derby Academy in Hingham, United South End Settlements and private group classes.

Erik Gehring is a professional and fine art photographer whose favorite destination is the nearby Arnold Arboretum.

Lisa Goren (a Hyde Park resident) has been a professional artist for 7 years. In her "past life", she worked in the music business for nearly 20 years using her marketing skills daily. Marketing and thinking about how people can communicate their message is second nature to her. Lisa has been teaching marketing to artists for 3 years.

Larry Johnson, Publisher of Tales of Fantasy Comic Book for 20 years, 1979 Graduate Art Institute of Boston, former president Jamaica Plain Artists Association.

Jerry Joseph, member of the Hyde Park Art Association, attended the Art Institute of Boston. painter and muralist.

Lori H. Levi has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education/Creative Arts in Learning from Lesley University. She is also certified in the Orton Gillingham Multisensory Phonemic Awareness Method of Remedial Literacy.

Sasja Lucas, MA in Fine Art from George Washington University, BFA, Binghamton University. Studio artist for over 30 years, she has taught art and design at Newbury College, Fuller Museum, Brookline Arts Center and Cornwall Studios and Gallery. She is an exhibit and animation fabricator.

Cheryl Murphy is a visual artist working in both 2D and 3D mediums. She has been an art teacher in Boston for more than 15 years. Her education includes The Art Institute of Boston and Mass College of Art.

Laura Richardson Wash. Univ. A. B. SMFA 2 years, Gallery Representation in Fla., teaching experience at the Menino Arts Center, Phillips Academy, Cape Cod, and private lessons.

Richard Salvucci, 30 years of experience in drawing and painting. Exhibited in many galleries and organizations. Also produced commercial illustration for books, magazines and children's books.

Jane Sherrill works in a variety of media including acrylic and oil paint, mixed-media, colored pencil and sculpture. She has exhibited her artwork at many venues in the Boston area and on Cape Cod and received awards in both painting and performance. Ms. Sherrill’s work is represented in national and international collections. This is her 2nd year teaching at the MAC and she has also taught art at The Center for Arts at the Armory, Somerville.
